Our Team

AWC has a dynamic ministry team. Founders, Pastors Michael Jarrell and Robert King and their wives, accepted God’s calling on their lives and began having services in a dining room. Shortly after they began, the Lord showed them it was time to step out on faith and expand. Once again, they heeded to the call. On October 1, 2023, the first service was held in what is now known as Axis Worship Center located at 5971 W. US 52 Unit D & E, New Palestine, IN 46163. The Lord continues to bless AWC immensely as the Phase Two Expansion soon begins.

AWC is blessed to have an anointed Worship Team led by Sister Debra Kleyn who has been part of our ministry from the beginning.

Each Thursday evening, AWC has a Bible Study lead by Brother Marvin Lockett. Brother Lockett breaks down the Word of God, which enables each person to understand what it means as well as the concepts behind what is being said.

The Ladies Bible Study is a collaborative study where everyone leads together. They meet the First and Third Tuesday of each month.

AWC continues to grow in numbers and expand in size because we understand nothing can happen without God being in control, and our willingness to submit to Him.

Worship Center vs Church…What’s the Difference?

Great question. It can be confusing. Typically, churches focus on a set congregation. It is based around those who attend services only at that building. They will also have a few outreaches. They are a wonderful resource with many attributes and are valuable.

Our Worship Center falls under the Church of God’s (Cleveland, TN) Ministry to the Military Evangelistic Outreach. What does that mean? It means while we have a “church” service each Sunday, throughout the week we are in constant contact with military installations and work hand in hand with them offering our chaplaincy services to help the military Chaplains. In times of uncertainty, our military Chaplains can easily become overwhelmed. We help alleviate some of their stress. We have no walls or boundaries. We are not bound by denominations as we cross those boundaries too.

Yes, we fall under Ministry to the Military; we also offer the same services to all first responders. Each face situations others cannot understand, because they have not personally experienced it. We are different. We understand this; our leadership has had those same types of experiences. Do not be confused. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. Our ministry begins and ends outside the walls of a building to provide a place where everyone can freely worship including all military and first responders without fear of judgment.

Just like the two pictures on the right. Each have mountains; together they provide 60-80% of the earth’s freshwater. They don’t compete. Though separated, they offer the same resources in different ways.
